Inn and Spa at Loretto Launches New Santa Fe Experiential Passport
Exploring a new destination on a condensed vacation schedule can prove challenging, even for the most adept traveler. To help guests pursue their travel interests in a more resourceful manner, the Inn and Spa at Loretto has launched the Santa Fe Experiential Passport, a guest program that will provide suggested itineraries for ‘themed’ travel trails, ranging from art, culture and history, to culinary travel, spa or pet travel.
Each themed trail will include an interactive element to encourage guests to build their own genuine Santa Fe experience. The Santa Fe Experiential Passport will provide an aggregated list of self-immersion workshops, seminars, events and tours available in the greater Santa Fe area.
Located in the Calendar of Events section of the Inn’s web site, the first phase of the Santa Fe Experiential Passport combines existing signature events with hands-on activities to help guests immerse themselves in their interests while in Santa Fe. The Inn worked with various artists, organizations and tour operators to uncover a medley of lesser known experiential activities to add to its passport. In total, the Inn added nearly 30 self-immersion suggestions to its passport that range from creating one-of-a-kind prints to take home at the Jennie Cooley Gallery and photography workshops at The College of Santa Fe to a creative basket weaving course or plein air painting course at Ghost Ranch. The Santa Fe Experiential Passport lists workshops, seminars and activities available now through Dec. 31, 2010.
In the next phase, the Santa Fe Experiential Passport will focus on assembling themed trails that will provide a sampling of suggestions on things to do, events to attend or places to visit that would appeal to a specific interest, be it art, culinary, spa, or culture. The themed trail will combine some sort of experiential component, be it a workshop, group discussion, or performance with a signature Santa Fe experience or event, be it a festival or tourist attraction, to provide a well-rounded, Santa Fe experience.
“Travel web sites, guidebooks, and brochures are all great resources for disciplined travelers that have the time to research and compile their travel schedule in advance,” said Sandy Heydt, director of sales and marketing at the Inn and Spa at Loretto. “But for many of us, time is limited. The Santa Fe Experiential Passport addresses this reality by consolidating information in one, easy to access place giving all guests the opportunity to experience Genuine Santa Fe their way.”
