Love Letters to Loretto

At the Inn and Spa at Loretto our guests are our family. We love hearing about all the wonderful memories made here and invite all our guests to share their experiences with us. Personal testimonials are the best compliment and truly validate our teams’ efforts.

Below is a review of Luminaria Restaurant and Patio. We hope this letter will inspire you to share your fond memories of the Inn and Spa at Loretto, or to create new memories of your own.

Yours Truly,
The entire team at the Inn and Spa at Loretto

Dear Ms. Litton (Restaurant Manager),

We wanted to let you know how much we have been enjoying Luminaria breakfasts for many years (and the occasional lunch). Your blue corn apple pancakes are tops. But we also want to say how very much we enjoy our conversations with Carlos almost every weekend and also Marcel if there. Both are superb staff members and, no doubt, are a reason not only we but others come as often as we do. They are delightful and always make us feel not only welcome but at home at Luminaria.

We have been sending Carlos post cards from our overseas travels for a long time and enjoy that he then greets us in Japanese or Danish - whatever - when we return.

What an asset he is for you. He is also solicitous if one of us has a walker or cane (hip replacement surgeries over the years) or a boot (fractured foot) and, this past Friday when I (Karen) was out of the boot for the first time in 3 months, he sprinkled rose petals on the table making it a festive and celebratory breakfast. It is heartwarming.

Needless to say we have brought a number of friends to Luminaria some of whom often meet us there - most also Santa Fe residents but others from Albuquerque and further away. We also tell newcomers about you.

Don’t change a thing! We will keep coming.

D. K. Haworth and K. F. Beall
