About The Inn

An exquisite Santa Fe, New Mexico hotel reflecting the culture and sophistication of its historic setting, the Inn and Spa at Loretto features 134 guestrooms, a full-service spa, casual fine diningart galleries and a tranquil garden. The Inn is ideally located in the heart of Santa Fe, near the Palace of the Governors and just one block from historic Santa Fe Plaza's galleries, museums, restaurants and boutiques.

Effortlessly blending old-world charm with world-class splendor, this Santa Fe luxury hotel is one of the state's most photographed buildings. Built at the end of the historic Old Santa Fe Trail high in the spectacular Sangre de Cristo Mountains, the Inn and Spa at Loretto is an architectural recreation of the Taos Pueblo, a national historic landmark.

The Inn and Spa at Loretto beautifully respects Santa Fe architecture, character and spirit.

  • Traditional beamed ceilings with vigas and latillas, indigenous rugs, handwoven fabrics, and white-washed adobe walls adorned with authentic regional artwork reflect Pueblo, Native American and Spanish culture.
  • Crackling kiva fireplaces, soft lighting and candles provide welcoming warmth and comfort.
  • Handcrafted doors, windows, corbels, canales and light fixtures display the personal mark of their makers.
  • Accommodations invite relaxation with vibrant colors, rich textures and luxurious amenities.

Art and History at The Inn and Spa at Loretto

The Inn and Spa at Loretto in Santa Fe has launched several initiatives to highlight the work of local artists.  Under the Artists of Santa Fe program, the Inn will display artwork in several communal areas throughout the hotel, on consignment for retail and includes nationally renowned New Mexico artists such as Armond Lara, Ben Hammond (represented by The Peterson-Cody Gallery), Mateo Romero and Tammy Garcia (represented by The Blue Rain Gallery), Joe Cajero Jr. (represented by The Legends Santa Fe Gallery), and Damien Jones and James Vilona (represented by the InArt Santa Fe Gallery of Fine Art).  The works will remain at the hotel, free of charge, until a piece is sold or the artist removes the artwork.  General Manager, Stefan Huber has been working with independent artists and local galleries since last January and has nearly completed assembling the hotel's 18-piece exhibit.

Huber said communities such as Santa Fe that rely on art and cultural venues as tourist draws are feeling the impact of the economic downturn.  "Art is the lifeblood of Santa Fe and we wanted to support our local artists who make Santa Fe a vibrant, world-class destination." Christy Walker, managing director of the Santa Fe Gallery Association, said the Association welcomes collaborative efforts like this to keep the city's art community strong. The arts represent a $2 billion economic impact on Santa Fe.  However you choose to spend your Santa Fe vacation, the Inn and Spa at Loretto offers an inspired refuge that surrounds you with the art and soul of Santa Fe. We welcome you to conduct a self-guided art tour while you are visiting with us.
